Spanish Roja (aka "Greek" or "Greek Blue") Garlic (Allium sativum)

Heirloom rocambole (hardneck) type with 5-8 large, easy-to-peel cloves per bulb brought to the Portland, Oregon area before the 1900’s. A Slow Food USA Ark of Taste variety with exceptional flavor - rich yet not too spicy. Great raw, crushed in olive oil with sourdough bread, or roasted! Stores 4-6 months. Sow in fall to harvest the following summer. Requires a cold winter for best results.
