Hadrut Garlic (Allium sativum)

Porcelain (hardneck) variety from the town of Hadrut in the region of Nagorno-Karabakh, Azerbaijan with 5-8 large, easy-to-peel cloves per bulb. Hadrut is very cold hardy, more drought tolerant than other varieties, and contains a high level of allicin. It also stores well, lasting into the new year. Flavor is bright and spicy raw, mellowing to mild and earthy when roasted. Sow in fall to harvest the following summer.
